Delhi University: As per the reports, there has been an increasing demand for complete reopening of campus by students and teachers. However, the varsity stated that Delhi University will wait for guidelines from the government before reopening colleges. As per the university Registrar Vikas Gupta, "Let the government issue something in black and white. Then we will decide." He also added that the campus will be reopened only if the DDMA allowed 100% seating capacity. As most of the students are from outside Delhi, and it will be difficult for teachers to decide whom to call with a 50% seating cap.
As per media reports, DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh stated, "We will decide after Diwali. There is a fear that Covid might recur. If the situation remains fine, we will think." Earlier, the Delhi University had resumed laboratory classes for final year undergraduate and postgraduate students from 16th September. However, the attendance is very less.
DU Special Cut off 2021 for Admission
Also, Delhi University started the undergraduate admission against the special cut-off list on 26th October 2021. Candidates who were eligible for admission under the first, second and third lists but did not apply for various reasons can now apply at admissions.uod.ac.in. The last date to apply for Delhi University under special cut off was 27th October 2021. Many colleges that had closed admissions in the prior rounds have been provided with the last opportunity to hold admission. According to official data, 60,155 students have paid the fees under the first three lists. Based on the availability of seats, DU may release more cut-off lists.
Delhi School for Class 6 to 8 Students To Reopen
Recently, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) expert panel has recommended reopening schools for classes 6th to 8th in Delhi with 50% capacity. The expert panel noted that there have been no reported instances of local transmission of COVID-19 due to the resumption of physical classes for 9th to 12th. After observing the same, DDMA took this decision.

Further, The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has allowed the reopening of all Delhi schools, colleges and other educational institutions from 1st November. Schools will have to ensure that classes are conducted in a hybrid mode which means online classes will continue. Also, parents cannot be forced to send their ward to schools.
