IGNOU launches MA Sanskrit Programme for Open and Distance Learning

IGNOU has launched the MA Sanskrit programme in open and distance learning. Candidates who wish to apply for the programme can visit the official website of the university.

Indira Gandhi National Open University has launched the Masters in Sanskrit through the Open and Distance Mode. Candidates from any discipline who wish to pursue a Masters Degree in Sanskrit can visit the official website for further details related to the course. Keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown state in the country, the programmes have been launched virtually and live-streamed through the Gyan Dhara, the University’s Internet-based channel. 

The MA Sanskrit programme has been designed and developed with the academic consultation and support of the scholars from different disciplines of Sanskrit. Students interested to register for the programme are advised to visit the official website of the university.

To register for the online MA Sanskrit programme candidates are required to first complete the registration process by entering the details in the registration link provided. After completing the online registration process candidates will be able to complete the application form. It must be noted that the MA Sanskrit Online Distance Learning course application process will be conducted completely in the online mode only. Along with submitting the online application form, candidates are also required to submit the online application fee in the online mode only. 

IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Professor Nageshwar Rao while launching the MA Sanskrit programme spoke about the binding nature of Sanskrit which connects the people to India and its rich knowledge which is available in the language only. He also spoke about the immense potential that the language has to offer to learners in terms of future prospects.
