IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2021 – Exam Structure and Pattern

IGNOU has entrusted the responsibility of holding IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2021, to screen candidates for admission to PhD level programmes offered by it, to the NTA. The National Testing Agency has released a detailed information bulleting which provides complete details about the entrance test including its structure and exam pattern.

As per the details shared by the bulletin, IGNOU PhD Entrance Test 2021 will comprise of 100 questions which will have to be answered by the candidates. Of the 100 questions, 50% weightage would be given to Research Methodology related topics while the rest 50% weightage would be given to Subject-specific questions. In terms of marking scheme, every correct answer will give candidates a +4 score while there is no negative marking for the test. In terms of qualifying criteria, any candidate securing at least 50 per cent marks in the Entrance Test (45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layers) / Differently abled persons ) will be shortlisted for the interview and further screening process.
