CAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta is conducting the IIM CAT 2024 exams today, November 24, 2024. The exams are being held in three slots across 170 exam test cities. Management aspirants appearing for the CAT 2024 exams must make sure they have their IIM CAT admit cards 2024 ready with them to be provided at the exam centre with a valid ID proof for verification purposes.
This year its is estimated that approximately 3.29 lakh students will be appearing for the CAT Exams in 170 exam centres this year. The first slot of CAT 2024 is scheduled from 8:30 am to 10:30 PM. Candidates must report to the exam centre as early as 7:30 for completing all verification and frisking purposes before the commencement of the exam. The details of slot timings and reporting time to exam centre is mentioned on the CAT 2024 Admit card. Students are advised to download the CAT 2024 admit card and carry the hard copy of the same to the exam centre on the day of the exam.
For the convenience of students, IIM Calcullat has also provided the CAT 2024 mock test links. With just a day remaining for the exam students can practice through the link given on the official website. The mock tests help students with understanding the exam pattern and will also help with the revision process to prepare before the exams.

What to carry to the exam centre?
The CAT 2024 exams will be held in the online mode. When reporting to the exam centres it is mandatory for candidates to have the following documents with them
- CAT 2024 admit card
- Valid ID proof (Passport, Driving License, Voters ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card)
- Scribe documents
Dress Code
- Students must adhere to the dress code issued by the exam conducting body.
- Students are not allowed to wear clothes with pockets or embellishments and metal buttons on them.
- Both male and female candidates must follow the dress code as prescribed
- Frisking will be conducted at the exam centre before the candidate verification process.
Items banned inside the exam hall
Candidates must note that the following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall
- Mobile phones
- Smart watches
- Blue tooth devices
- Calculators
- Any other electrical devices
Pen and Paper to be provided
Students will be provided with pen and paper at the exam centre for any rough work or calculations
Reporting Time
Candidates must make sure to cross check the slot details before reporting to the exam centres. Candidates are advised to report to the centre atleast an hour before the commencement of the exam. Candidates will be allowed inside the exam centre an hour prior to the exam to complete the frisking and candidate verification process.
CAT 2024: Exam Pattern
