According to reports, the JEE Main 2021 April, May Session exams which were postponed due to the increasing COVID-19 cases are expected to be conducted in July and August. Since the CBSE has suggested conducting the Class 12 Board examinations in 19 major subjects from August 1 to 20, 2021 as an option, the National Testing Agency is expected to conduct the last two sessions of JEE Main 2021 by the end of July and August.
CBSE schedule by June 1
According to media reports, the CBSE class 12 board exam dates and the format for the examinations will be announced on June 1, 2021. It is expected that a decision regarding the JEE Main 2021 exam dates will be announced along with the CBSE class 12 examination dates.
The CBSE has presented two options for conducting the examinations. The first is to conduct the exams from August 1 in 19 subjects with marking in minor subjects done based on the performance in the exams conducted while the second will be to conduct the exams in two phases - July 15 to August 1 and August 5 to 26, 2021, giving the states the option to select the preferred phase.
JEE Main Examination Schedule
In case the CBSE goes for the second option for conducting the exams, the JEE Main 2021 May exam is expected to be shifted to the first or second week of September as per reports. Students preparing to appear for the JEE Main 2021 exams must note that the rescheduling of the JEE Main 2021 April and May exams will be done subsequently. The final JEE Main 2021 dates will be announced on the official website of JEE Main at least 15 days prior to the examination. According to the details provided on the official website the registrations for the May session will be announced later on. The JEE Main 2021 April and May session exams were scheduled to be conducted on April 27, 28, and 30 and May 24 to 28, 2021.
