Guidelines and Rules for JoSAA Registration and Choice Filling 2025
Students must keep the following guidelines and protocol rules in mind while applying for JoSAA Choice-filling and Registration online:
- Eligibility for seat allocation will be based on one, two, three, or all four accepted examinations, namely, JEE Advanced 2025, JEE Main 2025 BE or BTech Examination, JEE Main 2025 BArch Examination, and JEE Main 2025 BPlan Examination.
- Regardless of the number of eligible exams, only one seat will be offered to an applicant from the filled choices.
- The mock seat allotments will be released thereafter, based on choices filled by students within the deadline. Read the full JoSAA 2025 Schedule here.
- After each round of seat allotment, successful candidates must apply online for admission, pay the counselling fee, and upload required documents where they must choose between ‘freeze,’ ‘float,’ or ‘slide’ for subsequent rounds.
- Candidates allocated their first-choice seat only have the ‘freeze’ option or can reject the seat, otherwise it will be considered rejection.
- If a candidate's credentials change during seat allocation, their initially allotted seat may be cancelled.
- In case of credential changes and seat cancellation, the candidate will be considered for subsequent rounds with updated credentials and must report online to accept any new allocation.
