NEET Result 2021 Soon: The date for the declaration of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2021 Result just got a bit closer as one major roadblock in the process was removed by the SC today. The Supreme Court of India today dismissed a plea filed before it seeking cancellation of NEET UG Result 2021 over paper-leak issue. While dismissing the plea, the apex court noted that NEET 2021 is not a local exam and therefore lakhs of students cannot be punished due to one localized incident. In conclusion, the SC bench noted that the NEET 2021 undergraduate examination which was held on September 12, 2021 will not be cancelled.
Lakhs of Students Can’t be made to Suffer: SC
The petition demanding the cancellation of NEET 2021 exam was considered by a Supreme Court bench comprising of Justices L Nageswara Rao and BR Gavai. During the hearing, the bench called the petitioner ‘adventurous’ for filing a writ petition making a bold demand of cancellation of NEET 2021 exam which is taken by lakhs of students. It even warned the petitioner that costs might be imposed for filing such a writ petition.
The petitioner’s counsel made a point that several FIRs have been filed in different parts of the country regarding paper leak incidents around NEET UG 2021 exam. However, the SC bench set aside that argument saying that lakhs of students cannot be made to suffer because of a few FIRs and in those cases law will take its course based on investigations.
NEET 2021 Result Expected Soon
With the Supreme Court dismissing the plea, a major hindrance in the declaration of NEET Result 2021 has been cleared. With this decision, the exam conducting authority, National Testing Agency, NTA is likely to release the NEET 2021 Result date soon along with the Final Answer Key for UG NEET exam. Although no specific date has been notified for the declaration of NEET 2021 Results, students should expect the same to be declared in next two weeks. Like all other aspects related to the NEET UG 2021 Exam, the result of the medical entrance exam will also be announced on neet.nta.nic.in portal.
