NTA Arpit: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the new exam date of the Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching (ARPIT) 2020. The revised exam schedule has been available at the official website ntaarpit.nic.in. NTA will conduct the ARPIT 2020 exam on 21st August (Saturday) in two sessions: 9 am to 12 noon and 3 to 6 pm. Also, the admit card is expected to be released soon in online mode. The NTA ARPIT 2020 exam was earlier scheduled on 4th April but had to be postponed due to elections in West Bengal and the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Selection of NTA Arpit Exam Centre
Candidates should note that the exam centre once allotted to them after the closing of the correction window, cannot be changed, The exam centres are spread throughout India in states like Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, and others. The exam will be computer-based and it will be of 100 marks. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
NTA Arpit Courses
NTA conducts Arpit 2020 Exam for courses such as History of Indian Science and Technology, Online Refresher Course in Arts, Online Refresher Course in History, Tribal Studies, Urdu Refresher course. Candidates should note that in case they have registered for two exams and the slots for the courses are the same, candidates have to choose as to which exam they will sit for.
NTA Arpit
Arpit was launched by the Ministry of Education on November 13, 2018. It intends to revolutionize professional development by offering annual refresher courses in teaching. The training material for ARPIT is available through SWAYAM. The first Arpit exam was conducted on 13th March, 2019, in 66 disciplines. The learner (Faculty and Non-Faculty) who successfully clears the examinations i.e. score 50% or more marks only will be issued a certificate by SWAYAM, which will be equivalent to one UGC Refresher Course for Career Advancement Scheme of faculty.
