The IndSAT 2020 scores will be utilised to scholarships and admissions to students from these 13 countries in Indian Universities. A senior government official was quoted saying that NTA conducted IndSAT 2020 in the online mode along with HRD ministry body EdCIL steering the efforts.
He also stated that while 20,000 students had initially registered for IndSAT 2020, around 6000 appeared for the test which was conducted despite COVID-19. The exact figures, said the official, will be available when all the data will be collated. He stated that while the numbers are lesser than the initial applicants, considering the impact of COVID-19, they are still encouraging. Candidates scoring the required marks will be short-listed and based on their preferences there are over a hundred institutions where they can get admissions, added the official.
