Pre primary schools in UP require recognition for functioning says state government

According to latest reports, the pre-primary schools in Uttar Pradesh will also require approval from the government. State government approval required as per new order issued from the UP Chief Minister.

According to the latest reports, the pre-primary schools in Uttar Pradesh will also require approval from the government. As per reports, it will be necessary to get recognition from the state government to run the Pre-Primary schools in the state as per the orders from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

Guidelines to be prepared for pre-primary schools

The Uttar Pradesh state Department of Basic Education is preparing the guidelines for the pre-primary schools which will tighten the fee charged in playschools and pre-primary schools. Along with this, Anganwadi centres like Playschools and pre-primary schools will also be developed.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also informed that more than 2000 playschools and pre-primary schools are being operated in Lucknow where the fee charged from parents is two thousand five hundred per month. Many of the primary schools in the region have also been opened inside homes charging a heavy fee from parents with low facilities. 

Under the new National Education policy, the state government will mandate the recognition of playschools and primary schools in which the accountability of schools will also be fixed for the safety of the children.

Rules to be set by the state government for recognition

Reports also suggest that rules will be set by the state government to give recognition to pr-primary schools for which the pre-primary unit has been formed under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. The committee will decide on the standards and scheme related to pre-primary level education and under the new rules, the government will include children from three to six-year o of age informal education. Currently, children until the age of 6 are included in formal education from class 1 onwards. 

The Chief Minister also informed that the Anganwadi Centres including playschools for young children will be developed for which the Anganwadi workers will also be trained by March 31, 2021.
