
Rajasthan Government has launched a novel initiative under which it would be rewarding the Board Exam Toppers with Air Travel. The news regarding this unique initiative was confirmed by Rajasthan State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra, who announced the government’s decision on via twitter. In in tweet, he mentioned that Rajasthan Government would sponsor 1 air travel for Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam Toppers, to help inspire them to perform better in the examination.
District Toppers to be Rewarded with Air Travel
Providing more information about the Government’s decision, Dotasra informed that district toppers for Class 10 and 12 Board Exams will be rewarded with free air travel, which will be sponsored by the state government. The air-travel reward is likely encourage meritorious students to continue to excel in academics, according to School Education Minister Govind Dotasara. The inter-state travel under the scheme would also expose them to the diverse culture of our nation, he added.
Education Department Officials To Take Necessary Action
In line with the new initiative, the Education Department Officials have been instructed to formulate the necessary policy and put in place the logistical infrastructure for the scheme. Apart from academic success, the Minister also said that performance in extra-curricular activities during class X and XII will also also be a criterion while deciding the reward.
Bus Tour started for students
He also said the Education Department has launched a bus tour for meritorious students from the state. A total of 66 students i.e. two from each state, have been chosen to be part of the Bus Tour. The students are joined by 1 teacher from each district. Through the bus tour, students will be exposed to the culture and lifestyle of different states and regions therefore preparing for them for a bright future. The tour will also cover visit to important educational institutions, which will help students explore the admission process and other aspects related to them. .
