Telangana Schools COVID Cases

Telangana Schools: As per the recent updates, the schools in Telangana has reopened and soon after it, they reported new cases among the students. Telangana has been in the news ever since it reported a spike in COVID-19 cases. Noticing all this, the Teachers' body has come forward and suggested the government to close all COVID-hit schools for some time for the safety of everyone. Also, the teachers’ federation accused authorities of forcing teachers and students to attend physical classes amid multiple positive cases.

Rising COVID-19 Cases in Telangana Schools

As per media reports, the guidelines that were released for the conduction of offline classes mandate the shutting of schools after 5 or more cases get reported. However, teachers are alleging that even after seeing a pattern of rising COVID-19 cases in schools, the district officials are not permitting to close the schools. Instead, the officials have been asking the school authorities to continue with online classes.

No Official Notice Has Been Released

However, there is no official comment from the officials concerned, it is the Teachers' body that has been raising its voice and asking for the closure of schools hit with COVID-19. As per reports, the stance of teachers has been supported by a group of doctors who also believe that after a COVID outbreak is reported in a place, it must be shut for more than a week.

Less Attendance in Telangana Schools

Telangana schools are also facing another problem at this point. Schools, where COVID-19 cases are being reported, are recording less attendance as parents are now getting apprehensive of sending their wards for offline classes. Some parents think that studying through online classes is better than being at risk till normalcy restores.

Earlier, a minister from Telangana had requested people not to panic over COVID cases being reported in schools. As per reports, the officials concerned are relatively more inclined towards continuing offline classes with COVID-19 safety protocols and sanitisation, rather than shutting schools.
