The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will begin evaluating answer sheets for the UP Board High School and Intermediate Examinations for the year 2025 today, March 19. 

The evaluation procedure will begin today and last until April 2, with 1,34,723 instructors entrusted with examining 2,96,93,855 response sheets across 261 evaluation centers throughout the state.

UP Board Results 2025: Evaluation Process 

The UP Board Results 2025 evaluation process is being overseen by UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh and District School Inspectors, who are acting as Chief Controllers. To maintain transparency and efficiency, the board has provided a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to all evaluation centers. According to the SOP:

  • Examiners can check up to 50 answer sheets per day for High School and 45 per day for Intermediate.
  • The total number of answer sheets each examiner can evaluate is limited to 700 for High School (with 80 for arts subjects) and 800 for Intermediate.

UP Board Evaluation Centres

For High School, 84,122 examiners and 8,473 Deputy Chief Examiners have been appointed to evaluate 1,63,22,248 answer sheets. Intermediate answer sheets will be assessed by 50,601 examiners and 5,471 Deputy Chief Examiners. 

In Prayagraj alone, eight evaluation centres have been established, including Government Inter College, Kulbhaskar Ashram Inter College, and Kesar Vidya Peeth Inter College, among others.

UP Board Evaluation Challenges 

UP board faced a big hurdle prior to the evaluation procedure because of the high absenteeism rate among examiners. According to reports, 40% of the assigned examiners were absent during the pre-evaluation phase, with an average attendance of 60%.

To speed up the process, absent examiners were urged to report to their designated centers by March 17 and get training on March 18. The board has emphasized rigorous adherence to the evaluation timetable and rules in order to protect the process's integrity.

With the review process begun, the UP Board intends to complete the assessment of over 3 crore answer sheets within the 15-day deadline. The results of the high school and intermediate exams are likely to be released by the end of April.
