CBSE results 2016 for Class 12th will be declared on May 21, 2016. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the Class 12th results for Delhi, Chennai, Ajmer, Panchkula, Allahabad, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Dehradun regions at 12pm noon. The second phase of telecounselling will also commence along with the CBSE 12th result 2016 declaration and will continue till June 4, 2016.

This year, more than 23 lakh students had registered for the examinations, showing a significant rise in the number of examinees in comparison to the year 2015. While near about 13 lakh students wrote for the Intermediate examination, more than 10 lakh students sat for the CBSE Class 10th exam 2016. While the pass percentage of candidates in the CBSE High School Exam 2015 was 97.32% (a bit lower than the performance in 2014); an increased performance was also found for the CBSE Class 12th result 2015. The year 2015 saw girls outshining boys in the examinations. The pass percentage of girls was 87.57% (Class 12th result) and 97.82% (Class 10th result) while that for boys it was 77.77% (Class 12th result) and 96.98% (Class 10th result).
