Medical Standards: Candidates should be free from physical deformity / infirmity like squint eye, knock knee, bow leg, dismembered fingers and any other physical deformity / infirmity.
Application Fees: An application fee of Rs 60 (Rs 15 for SC / ST candidates) has to be paid in the form of Treasury Challan drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Inspector General of Police (E), PHQ, Itanagar’ under ‘Head of Account “0055” police’.
Admit Card / Call Letter: Admit Card / Call Letter will be issued to eligible candidates after preliminary scrutiny of application forms.
Selection Process: Final selection would be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in physical efficiency test, written examination, interview and medical examination / character & antecedent verification.
Scrutiny of Documents and Physical Measurements: Candidates should bring along original documents / testimonials, copies of which were submitted along with the application form, at the time of Scrutiny of Documents for verification and authentication. The candidature would be rejected on non-production of original documents. Scrutiny of Documents and Physical Measurements will be done at Police Training Centre, Banderdewa. Date and Time for the test will be notified in the Admit Card / Call Letter.
a) Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates found fit in the physical measurements will have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in following events:

PET will be conducted at Police Training Centre, Banderdewa. Date and Time for the test will be notified in the Admit Card / Call Letter. It will be of qualifying in nature. However, candidates who do not qualify the minimum qualifying standards in any of the above events would be disqualified for next level / stage.
b) Written Examination: Candidates qualifying the PET will be allowed to appear for the written exam. The exam for the post of Civil Police / IRBN will consist of one paper divided into three sections and have Multiple Choice Objective Type questions on General English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics of 100 marks each.
The exam for the post of Sub Inspector (Telecommunication/WT) will consist of one paper divided into three sections and have Multiple Choice Objective Type questions on General English, General Knowledge and Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry of 100 marks each.

The written exam is tentatively scheduled for 13th January 2013.
c) Interview: Candidates, not more than 3 times the number of vacancy, will be called for Interview as per merit. Date, Time and Place for Interview will be announced later.
d) Merit List / Medical Examination / Character & Antecedent Verification: Final Merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks secured in the written test and the Interview. Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination to be conducted by the medical board and verification of character & antecedent. Those clearing the medical examination and verification process will be appointed provisionally.
Candidates appointed against the IRBN vacancies are liable to be deployed anywhere in the country.
No TA / DA will be paid for attending the recruitment process.
How to Apply: Completely filled in applications, in the prescribed format, along with Treasury Challan (application fee) and attested copies of relevant certificates / documents and one self addressed reply envelope affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5 should be sent by ordinary post to “The P.H.Q, Itanagar” so as to reach the said office on or before 28 December 2012.
Application can also be submitted by hand at PHQ, Itanagar, on all working days till 28 December 2012.
Name of the post applied for should be super-scribed on the envelope containing the application.
