Assam Higher Secondary Education Council Declared Dates for Higher Secondary Examination

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared the dates for the higher secondary examination for 2013. The declaration was made on 10 August 2012.

The higher secondary examination will start on 18 February 2013 for the new course students , whilst the old course students will begin on 2 January 2013. The new course students would be required to sign their forms on 20 September 2012, while the old students would sign on 29 September 2012.

The routine of the examination is yet to be out, and the routine would be out only after discussions and meetings over the same.

Post a Supreme Court order, the council also introduced Environmental Studies (EVS), which has been made compulsory in class eleven. The grades of the EVS will also be tallied in class twelve. The EVS marks will be out of fifty marks, where thirty marks will be allotted for theory and twenty marks for project work.
