Important Dates for Admission in Banaras Hindu University

• Start of sale of Application Forms: 6 February 2012
• Closing of sale/ receipt of duly completed Application Forms: 6 March 2012
• Last date of receipt of duly completed Application Forms sent by post (dispatched before 6 March 2012) in the Office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU: 13 March 2012
• Dates for Entrance Test: 21 May 2012 to 6 June 2012

Selection Procedure for Admission in Banaras Hindu University: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Entrance Test at 5 centres viz, Delhi, Varanasi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Application Fee: Application fee (by cash) for General/ OBC category candidates is Rs 700 and SC/ ST category candidates is Rs 300.

The fee needs to be paid in the form of Challan (three-folds) in any branch of State Bank of India (CBS Branches) by depositing the requisite amount of money to the Bank and the bank will retain one fold of the Challan and remaining two folds of the Challan mentioning the journal number, date of deposit of money will be given to the candidate of which one will be retained by the candidate for his record and the other will be required to be submitted along with the Application Form, in the envelope provided for Application Form either by hand or through Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier within the stipulated date mentioned in the Information Bulletin.

How to Apply for Admission in Banaras Hindu University: The ‘Application Form' along with challan can be submitted at the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University or some other designated offices of the Banaras Hindu University by paying an amount of Rs 50 through Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier.
