Barc Diploma in Radiological Physics
This is a post-M.Sc. programme and the duration is one year. Sixty (60) courses have been conducted successfully (academic year 2022–2023) and sixty-first (61) batch (2023- 24) is under way. Initially, the course was affiliated to University of Bombay/Mumbai and since 2007, this course has been conducted under the aegis of Homi Bhabha National Institute (deemed to be University), Mumbai. The 62nd DipRP course is scheduled to commence from the first week of August 2024. The total number of seats allocated for admission to the course is 30.
Barc Diploma in Radiological Physics: Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit
Candidates applying for the posts would have completed M.Sc. (Physics) with 60% aggregate marks, B.Sc. (Physics) with 60% marks, or integrated M.Sc. (Physics) with 60% marks. Sponsored candidates need one-year radiotherapy department experience and personal monitoring service certification. Final year M.Sc. students can apply for the course and must submit results by October 30, 2024, with at least 60% aggregate marks.

Barc Diploma in Radiological Physics Selection Procedure
The candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and interview. The course contains radiation physics, applied mathematics, principles of radiation detection and measurement, radiation dosimetry and standardisation, radiation biology, applications of ionising radiation and radioisotopes in medicine, industry, agriculture and research, physics of radiotherapy and medical imaging; transport of radioactive materials, radiation safety and regulatory aspects, radiation hazard evaluation and control; radiation emergencies and its management
Barc Diploma in Radiological Physics Stipend and Accommodation
On admission to the course, each non-sponsored candidate is eligible to receive a stipend of Rs 25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) per month for a period of one year. The sponsored candidates are not eligible for the stipend. All the candidates admitted to the course will be provided hostel accommodation at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai for one year. The charges applicable to this accommodation should be borne by the candidates. The current accommodation charges are about Rs 634/- per month for non-sponsored candidates and Rs 50/- per day for sponsored candidates, which is subject to change.

Interested candidates should submit their online applications with a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs 500/- (five hundred only) through online payment only. The SC/ST applicants, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), women candidates and persons with benchmark disabilities candidates are exempt from payment of application fee
