BHEL issued notification for recruitment of 48 Medical professional

BHEL is country’s premier engineering and manufacturing enterprise that caters into the fields of Power Generation and Transmission, Industry, Transportation, Renewable Energy, Defense, etc. The ‘Navaratna’ PSU has a wide network of 15 Manufacturing Divisions, 4 Power Sector Regional Centre, 8 Service Centre, 15 Regional Offices, 4 Overseas Offices, one subsidiary and large number of project sites spread all across the globe. The company has its footprints in more than 70 countries all over the world and has achieved net profit of Rs.6868 Crore. Its turnover in 2011-12 was of Rs.49301 Crore (provisional).

BHEL invited applications from medical professionals to join its Units/Offices at Bhopal, Trichy, Jhansi, Hyderabad and New Delhi. Interested candidates can apply online till 7 November, 2012.

Post Details:

•    MBBS degree should be recognized by Medical Council of India and candidates should be registered with either Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
•    Internship training shall not be considered as work experience.
•    Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates, by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and those candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.


Fees:
A non refundable Processing fee of Rs.250 has to be deposited into Power Jothi a/c no. 30858786786 of HE, Kailasapuram Branch, Trichy-14 (code no.01363) in favor of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchirappalli. The fee has to be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India through a triplicate challan -- Bank Copy, Candidates’ Copy and BHEL Copy -- that is available on BHEL website and can be downloaded from there.

On payment of fees, the bank will return the Candidates’ Copy and BHEL Copy with a Journal No. stamped/ written on them. The candidates should enter this Journal No in the online Application Form.

Candidates should keep these challan copies safely as they would be required to send the BHEL copy of the triplicate challan along with the Acknowledgement Slip and other required documents to BHEL.

[SC/ST and Physically Challenged candidates are exempted from paying the processing fee]

Emoluments & Benefits

Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year. Besides the Basic pay (normally the minimum of the scale), they will be entitled to a Cafeteria of Perks limited to 46% of the basic pay, Industrial Dearness Allowance and Non-Practicing Allowance.

Other allowances and benefits such as Leave, Leave Encashment, Medical facilities for self and dependent family members, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Performance Related Payment, Uniform, Subsidized Canteen Facilities, Company's accommodation or HRA etc. will be admissible as per Company Rules.

Selection Procedure:

For GDMO-E1:

If the number of eligible applicants for the post is in the ratio 1:8 to the number of vacancies, only Personal Interviews would be conducted.

However, if the number of eligible applicants for the post exceeds the ratio 1:8, a written test would be conducted. Candidates who will qualify the written test would be called for Personal Interview in the ratio 1:6 to the number of vacancies in order of merit based on their performance in the Written Test.

For Sr. Medical Officer (Specialist-E2):

All eligible candidates would be called for Personal Interviews based on the percentage of marks in the MBBS degree examination.

Travel Allowance:

Candidates invited for personal interview for E2 level will be reimbursed to and fro Two Tier AC train fare and those invited for E1 level interviews will be reimbursed sleeper class train fare from the mailing address or the starting station, whichever is nearer to the place of interview by the shortest route on production of proof of journey.
No TA would be paid to the candidates called for written Test for E1 level.

The written test and interviews will tentatively be held during December 2012 - January 2013.

How to Apply:

On successful submission of the online application form, system would generate an acknowledgement slip with a unique acknowledgement number. Candidates will be required to send a print-out of this slip along with all the required documents and BHEL’s fee challan copy to “Sr. Dy. General Manager (HR), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchirappalli 620 014,
Tamilnadu.”

The documents should be kept in an envelope super-scribed "Application for the post of SMO Specialization)/GDMO".
