Union Budget has made its early entry this fiscal year! Budget 2017 has been the buzz, from the year before, due to its railway budget merger decision. While fresh announcements have been made for the year, amendments and improvements are also visible in the Union budget 2017, which was presented by the Finance Minister (FM) Arun Jaitley, on 01 February 2017.
FM has given special attention to the job and education sector of the country.
National Testing Service
One of the most notable part of the Budget is formation of National Testing Service (NTS). The aim is to relieve the leading boards of the country from the effort of conducting examinations. NTS will be the nodal agency for conducting examinations for admission to various medical, engineering, business and even school boards. In other words, NTS will be responsible to manage near about 04 million students, who appear for various examinations in the country, round the year.
University Grants Commission
The second pivotal part of the Budget is restructuring of UGC (University Grants Commission); this is ought to create a stir in the educational institutions. This will bring a positive transformation in the autonomy of all educational institutions.

Job prospects in leather, footwear and textile sector
SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) online courses (widened through DTH channel),
Strengthening of AICTE administration,
Higher focus on vocational training,
PM Kaushal Kendras to be stretched to more areas
Launch of SANKALP Programme
Emphasis on Skill Development
Increase in Medical PG seats
An outcome-based accreditation of educational institutions
The budget has emphasized more on quality education and has agreed for allocation of ample resources.
