Anshula Sardesai has scored 98.4% marks in her class 12th board exams and has emerged as the CBSE topper from Gurgaon. She studied throughout the year and solved several previous years’ question papers which contributed majorly to her success. Interestingly, she did not refer to any other study material except NCERT books and suggested the same approach for other students while emphasizing the need to solve as many previous year papers as possible. She wants to pursue Psychology Honors from Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) which is affiliated to the Delhi University. She has a keen interest in literature and her favorite subject is Psychology.

Question 1:

Congratulations Anshula! How are you feeling on becoming the Gurgaon City Topper in CBSE 12th Board Exams and how do you plan to celebrate your success?

Answer:

She is very happy with her performance in the board exams and become topper in arts stream.

Question 2:

Tell us something about yourself, your family and academic background?

Answer:

She loves reading books and watching movies. She also likes writing poems. Her mother is a homemaker and her father is in private sector.

Question 3:

Why did you opt for Arts or Humanities stream at High-School level? Which subjects in Humanities interest you the most?

Answer:

She was always interested in literature. After class 10th, she was confused about the stream she should take in Class 11 and 12. Before taking arts stream she has searched for all the career prospects related to arts stream and her favorite subject is Psychology.

Question 4:

What strategy did you adopt to prepare for the CBSE 12th Board Exams? Which factors helped you score (insert percentage) in the exam?

Answer:

She studied throughout the year and solved several previous years’ question papers to know about the exam pattern. She believed herself.

Question 5:

Apart from the textbooks, which other books did you refer to prepare for the CBSE Board Exams?

Answer:

She did not refer to any other study material except NCERT books and suggested the same approach for other students while emphasizing the need to solve as many previous year papers as possible

Question 6:

What are your future plans, both in terms of further studies and choice of career?

Answer:

She wants to pursue Psychology Honors from Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) which is affiliated to the Delhi University. After completing her graduation, she wants to work in corporate sector either as industrial psychologist or as human resource management.

You said you are planning to pursue your graduation from Delhi University, any particular reason for picking DU?

Answer:

Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) is among the top colleges in India. She has a dream of completing graduation from this college.

Question 8:

Many students feel the need to take tuition to score well in the Board Exams. What is your take on this? Did you take tuitions for any subject?

Answer:

She didn’t take any tuition for any subject. According to her, Economics is the most difficult subject. But if any student carefully follow teachers at schools and do self study regularly, then he/she can easily score good marks.

Teachers, parents or friends; who would you attribute your success to? What role did they play in your journey to success?

Answer:

Her teachers always helped her in every aspects of study. They regularly keep track on the study of all the students. She was always supported by her parents and friends. She will be always thankful to her parents for their support.

Question 10:

By topping the CBSE 12th Exam, you have become an inspiration for students who will be taking up the exam next year. Would you like share your success mantra with them?

Answer:

She suggested students who are going to appear for CBSE Board exams 2019 that they should take all the unit tests and exams very seriously. Students should learn from each mistake. The presentation of answers is very important to score good marks in board exams. Therefore, students must focus on the presentation of the answer.
