CBSE Class 10 Social Science 2017 board exam was held on 8th April 2017 from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM. The pattern of the social science paper was more or less similar to the CBSE class 10 Social Science sample paper recently released by CBSE. Most of the students pointed out that the paper was quite easy. Although some students faced problems in 5 marks questions.
Format of CBSE Class 10 Social Science 2017 Board Exam Paper
In CBSE Class 10th Social Science, there were 30 questions in all and all questions were compulsory.
Questions from serial number 1 to 8 were very short answer questions of 1 mark each.
Questions from serial number 9 to 20 were 3 marks questions.
Questions from serial number 21 to 28 were 5 marks questions.
Question number 29 was a map based question of 3 marks from History and the Question number 30 was a map based question of 3 marks from Geography.
There were overall no choices in the question paper, however; internal choices were present in some questions. The duration of the paper was 3 hours.
Feedback from students and teachers about CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper 2017
According to the students, CBSE 10 Social Science 2017 question paper was very easy. No tricky or out of syllabus question was observed in the question paper. Students faced no problem is solving questions based on the map.
Some students complained that they faced in solving 5 marks questions. Some students also complained about lengthy 5 marks questions. But, most of the students said that they had enough time to attempt the complete question paper.
According to the teachers, CBSE Class 10th Social Science board paper was quite simple and straight forward. All the questions were asked from CBSE syllabus and NCERT textbooks.
