The Central Bureau of Secondary Education (CBSE) introduced an education kit. The whole stint which was Launched by HRD minister, M M Pallam Raju on 1 November 2012, is expected to serve as a guideline on moral education for teachers across all classes.
In this regard, CBSE also decided to introduce value-based questions of three to five marks in all major subjects for Class XII board exams.
The kit that was launched by the minister consists of a value education teachers' handbook and a CD with eight songs. Apart from this, it also has cards on morals for students from nursery to Class XII.
The Board has issued specific guidelines to assess students for three to five months in each subject at the summative assessment level in classes IX and X. Value education questions will be integrated with the subject content for classes XI and XII and have five percent weight age.
