Center for High Energy System and Sciences (CHESS), New Delhi under Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India,  issued notification inviting applications for recruitment of 3 Junior Research Fellows (JRF) on monthly stipend of Rs.16000 for a period of two years.

Interested candidates should send their applications to the CHESS office within 21 days of publication of the notification in Employment News i.e. till 24 May 2014 as the notification was published in Employment News dated 3- 9 May 2014.

Vacancy Details

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 3 posts

Stipend: Rs.16000 per month

Period of Fellowship: 2 years

Discipline/ Qualification-wise JRF details

  • M.Sc./ equivalent PG Degree in Physics with Electronics as specialization: 1 post
  • B.Tech. in Electronics & Electrical engineering or equivalent: 1 post
  • B.Tech. in Computer Science/ MCA: 1 post appoint

[UGC/ CSIR/ NET/ GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.]

Age limit: not more than 28 years (as on 1 January 2014)

[Upper age limit is relax-able by 3 years for OBC category candidates and by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates]

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.

Candidates will have to produce all Original certificates at the time of Interview.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee is to be paid through a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs.10 drawn in favor of ‘Director, CHESS’.

[SC/ST, OBC candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.]

How to apply: Interested and eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.10 in original, copies of required certificates/ documents and a recent passport size photograph by post to ‘The  Director, Center for High Energy System and Sciences (CHESS), RIC Campus, Vignyanakancha PO, Hyderabad- 500069’ so as to reach the concerned authority within 21 days of publication of the notification in Employment News i.e. till 24 May 2014 as the notification was published in Employment News dated 3- 9 May 2014.

On the envelope carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe ‘Application for the post of JRF-Advt-3’
