CMAT 2012 Exam Analysis
From 2018 onwards, CMAT will be administered and conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier the management entrance test was conducted by AICTE. The CMAT exam was conceptualised in 2012 and since then there was no looking back. CMAT is one of most popular management entrance tests in India. CMAT 2012 exam was conducted in online mode. The exam was conducted twice a year- February and September.

This enables future CMAT test takers to understand the exam pattern and prepare accordingly.
CMAT was started with a purpose to screen eligible candidates in postgraduate management programs such as MBA, PGDM and PGDBM among others in institutes approved by AICTE.
CMAT Exam Analysis 2012
According the analysis of CMAT exam, the first phase of the exam was conducted from 20th February to 28th February 2012. It was then decided that the C-MAT Test would be conducted twice a year so as students get a fair bit of chance for getting admissions to reputed B-Schools. So the next phase of the test had begun from 27th September to 1st October 2012.

SECTION-I: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
This section basically covered the following topics from Mathematics in the range of Easy to Moderate Level. Especially 2-3 sets of questions were on Data Interpretation that required simple mathematical calculations and operations like addition and percentges. Besides the major topics covered were:-

SECTION-II : Verbal Ability
This section, if seen as a whole, was easy. It covered the essential grammatical portions like: Para-jumbles, Completion of Ideas, vocabulary, Critical Reasoning, Idioms, Usage of Adjectives etc. Those candidates having basic grammatical knowledge would have really liked the paper and excelled while fetching marks. Major emphasis was given to the Critical Reasoning part.
SECTION-III: Logical Reasoning
This particular section consisted of questions from easy to moderate level as far as difficulty level is concerned. But most of the students faced the same problem in this and that was of time. The paper was time consuming. Listed below are the topics covered :
