Job Profile / Roles and Responsibilities
SBI PO
- Handling customer services: POs will be asked to look into the concerns of the customers who come for opening of the new accounts, deposits, loans, services of ATM, online banking, cheque books, credit cards and etc.
- Promoting Business: POs have the responsibility of promoting various banking products like Recurring Deposits, Fixed Deposits, Insurance policies, Funds, Credit Cards, Loans, etc.
- Cash Management: PO has to perform cash related activities like cash disbursal & cash collection from cashiers.
- Clearances of Payment: Officer needs to authorize some payments by way of cheque, DD, NEFT/ RTGS beyond a certain amount.
- Report Maintenance: Officers would be assigned to generate reports that may include the deposits, withdrawals, ledger balances, etc.
- Communication on a daily basis: Responsibility for maintaining a track of new developments to improve their product knowledge and send official replies to other departments.

This job includes both desk and field activities. In the Income Tax Department, there are 2 separate sections for your post: Assessment Section and Non-Assessment Section.
