CSIR Indian Institute of Chemical Biology Kolkata notifies 3 Technician vacancies

    CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, a Unit of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 3 posts of Technician-1 (1 post) and Technical Assistant (2 posts). Interested candidates should apply online through the Institute’s website till 22 March 2014 and send the hard-copy of the online submitted application to the Institute till 29 March 2014.

    1. Technical Assistant: 2 posts
    Vacancy Code: 3451401
    Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs.4200    
    Total Emoluments: Rs.34250 per month (Approx)
    Essential Qualifications: (10+2) with Science subjects followed by Diploma in Computer Science of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent.
    Maximum Age Limit: 28 years

    2. Technician (1): 1 post
    Vacancy Code: 3451402
    Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay of Rs.1900
    Total Emoluments: Rs.19379 per month (approx)
    Essential Qualification: SSC/10th standard with Science subjects with ITI certificate or national/state trade certificate in Computer Science.
    Maximum Age Limit: 31 years (for OBC category candidates).

    NOTE: Age limit/experience/qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of online applications;
    Upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and up to 03 years for OBC category candidates;

    Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Interview.
    Only short-listed candidates will be called for the Interview.

    Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare on production of Rail Tickets/Rail Ticket Numbers or any other proof of journey.

    Application fees: Non-refundable application fee is to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.100 drawn in favour of ‘Director, IICB’ payable at Kolkata.

    How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates are required to first register themselves through IICB, Kolkata website http://www.career.iicb.res.in/and generate a user-id and password for future use.

    A candidate can apply for more than one post using the same 'User Id'.

    After registering, candidates will be required to check the details of the post they wish to apply for and fill the online application form associated to it till 22 March 2014.

    On successful submission of the online application form a unique application number will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down this application number for future use.

    Candidates should take a print-out of the online submitted application form with unique application no. mentioned on it and send it along with latest updated CV, Fee DD in original and attested copies of supporting documents/certificate by post to ‘The Administrative Officer, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, 4 Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Kolkata–700032’ so as to reach the concerned authority by 29 March 2014.

    On the envelope carrying the application, candidate should super-scribe the vacancy code as "Application for the Vacancy Code No.3451401/3451402" (as applicable).
