An important update has been released by SSC regarding the Delhi Police constable recruitment. The update is regarding changes in relaxation available to sportspersons.
SSC will conduct online examination for recruitment to 4669 police constable posts in Delhi Police. Candidates with sportsperson quota are required to pay attention to the recent update released by the Commission.
The Commission states that, “In the instructions regarding category-code and age relaxation available to Sportsmen and women in Code Nos. 12 to 15, the age relaxation under sportsmen and women category is admissible only sportsmen and women of distinction who have represented a State at the National level and the country at the International level in sports preceding three years from the date of advertisement of vacancies. The discipline of sports for which relaxation is admissible and proforma of Sports Certificate are available in the Notice dated 10.09.2016.”
Delhi Police has notified of 4669 constable vacancies and the last date of application for which is 10 October.
While the age limit for Constable (Exe) Male is 18-21 years, age limit of females is 18-25 years. Candidates with minimum educational qualification of 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized board/ university are eligible to apply. 11th pass is the criteria only for Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of Delhi Police and sons/ daughter of Delhi Police Personnel & Multi Tasking Staff (formerly Class-IV employees) of Delhi Police only either in service, retired or deceased.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test and PE & MT. The written examination will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
