Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) was established in 1984 by the Department of Atomic Energy, India to expand the activities carried out at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, in two frontline areas of Science and Technology namely Lasers and Accelerators. It invites application from eligible candidates in the prescribed format for recruitment as Stipendiary Trainee for a period of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology
Education Qualification
- Stipendiary Trainee (Category I): BSc (Physics) with minimum 60% marks/ 3 years Diploma/ Licentiate in related field of Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Stipendiary Trainee (Category II): Minimum 60% marks in SSC or HSC with Science & Maths plus ITI/ NCVT certificate in related field+ 1 year relevant experience after completion of the course OR ITI/NCVT of 2 years duration
Age Limit (as on 26 December 2011)
- Stipendiary Trainee (Category I): Minimum 19 years; Maximum 24 years
- Stipendiary Trainee (Category II): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 22 years
Pay Scale: The selected candidates will be undergo training for a period of 2 years and will be paid a stipend of Rs 9300 (for Category I) Rs 6200 (for Category II) per month for 1st year and Rs 7200 (for Category II) per month for 2nd year. Stipend for Category I in second year will be declared in due course. In addition, both Category I & II Trainees will be entitled for a one time book allowance of Rs 1,500 for purchase of approved books pertaining to their training course.
Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test in Indore and interview. Written test will be of one-hour duration and will comprise of objective type questions. Candidates should come prepared for the written test/interview for minimum two days. No accommodation will be provided for these two days to the candidates coming for written examination and interview.
