Directorate General, BSF Notified Recruitment for Jr Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Posts 2014

    Applications are invited from the Directorate General of BSF, from Male or Female Indian citizens for appointment on post of Junior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Deputy Commandant) (Combatised) Group ‘A’ to fill up the following vacancies by Direct Recruitment in Border Security Force (Air Wing), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of  India for the year 2014. The Border Security Force (BSF) is a Border Guarding Force of India. Established on December 1, 1965, it is a paramilitary force charged with guarding India's land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.

    Name of the Post: Junior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer”

    No. of Posts: 03 (Three)

    Educational Qualification

    • Graduate with holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination License in any one category of Avionics (E, I, R)/ (ES, IS, RN) or (A, C)/ (HA & JE) in Mechanical stream      AND
    • Total Aircraft Maintenance Experience of three years including one year as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer preferably with experience on type of Aircraft or Helicopter held by BSF.

    OR

    • Holder of Engineering Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Tele – Communications or Aeronautical stream      OR
    • Graduate with holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination License in Air Frame (A)     or Engine (C) or (HA & JE) (for Advance Light Helicopter)      AND
    • Total Aircraft Maintenance Experience of three years including one year as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer preferably with experience on type of Aircraft or Helicopter held by BSF.

    Age Limt 

    • Age Limit not exceeding 30 years as on closing date of receipt of application.
    • Upper age limit is relaxable for Govt. Officers, SC and ST, OBC and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.

    Pay Scale/ Salary 

    Pay Band is PB – 3 and the Pay Scale is Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600/-.

    Fee Payment 

    Each application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- (One Hundred) only as examination fee in favour of “Commandant 25 BN BSF”, payable at respective SBI – ADB Najafgarh, Code No. 001419 or Indian Postal Order will be prepared in favour of   “Commandant 25 BN BSF”, payable at Post Office “Najafgarh”. However, the SC/ ST and Departmental (BSF) candidates are not required to submit examination fee. Women candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.

    How to Apply 

    • Application duly filled in prescribed format along with photo copies of Testimonials/ Certificates of Educational and Experience etc. duly attested by Gazetted Officer and Demand Draft/ IPO, send to The Commandant, 25 BN BSF, Chhawla Camp, Nazafgarh Road, Post Office – Chhawla, New Delhi – 110 071, also enclosed two self addressed envelopes affix postal stamp of Rs. 39 and submit with in 30 days from the date of publication of the Advertisement in Employment News.
    • Three recent passport size photograph one each should be affix on the Application Form and Admit Card and the other one is to be kept in record.
    • The envelope containing the application must be super scribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………………………………………………”

    Selection Procedure 

     The selection procedure will be as under :

    (A) First Phase

    Written Examination

    (B) Second Phase

    (i) Documentation (Checking of Documents).

    (ii) Oral cum Practical Test.

    (C) Third Phase

    (i) Interview.

    (ii) Medical Examination.

    Note: There shall be sufficient gap between two phases of the tests.
