Eligibility Criteria for Directorate of Information & Publicity Information Officer & Editor Jobs:

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Sr. Information Officer: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with English and Hindi/Urdu as a compulsory/optional subject, 7 years Journalist experience in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News agency of standing or equivalent of experience of publicity and public relations work in a Government Department or a Commercial Publicity Organization and Familiarity with the requirement of various publicity media.
• Information Officer: Degree/Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University with English or Hindi or Urdu as one of the subjects at Graduate/Post Graduation Degree level, Degree/Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication from a recognized university/Institution or equivalent, 3 years journalistic experience in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News agency of repute/standing or equivalent experience of publicity and public relations work in a Govt. Deptt. or a commercial publicity organization, Familiarity with the requirement of various publicity media and Proficiency in computer operation, ability to work on MS Office, Internet etc.
  

Age Limit:

• Sr. Information Officer: Not exceeding 40 years
• Information Officer: Not exceeding 35 years
