Documents to be carried on the day of CMAT 2014-2015 Test

    Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The test is conducted twice a year -- in September and February for admission to various Management programs for the academic session 2014-2015, the first round of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) will be conducted from 26 September 2013 to 30 September 2013 in two shifts at 62 cities / locations in India and five cities / locations in foreign countries as from this year.

    An All India Merit List, based on the scores obtained by the candidates, will be prepared for both the examinations and better of the two scores will be used to offer admission to the aspiring candidates. The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure.

    On the examination day, candidates appearing for the test in India will be required to bring these documents:

    a) Original as well as attested photocopy of CMAT 2014-15 (September 2013 Test) Admit Card with recent passport size photo pasted on both.

    b) Photo Identification Proof OR Identification affidavit: One original and valid photo identification. The name on the photo identification must match with the candidates’ name as entered in the CMAT application form. Documents that will be accepted as photo identification proofs are:

    1. Driving license
    2. Passport
    3. PAN Card
    4. Voter ID
    5. UID card
    6. A notarized Affidavit (in English) with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address.

    Candidates failing to present a valid original Photo ID proof will not be allowed to take the test.

    c) SC / ST candidates, seeking Caste benefits, will be required to bring a valid caste certificate in Original as well as its attested photocopy. For the format of the caste certificate, click here

    d) Physically Disabled candidates will be required to bring a valid Disability certificate in Original as well as its attested photocopy. For the format of the Disability certificate, click here

    Photocopies of the required documents can be attested by the Institute’s Head also.

    Candidates appearing for test in Foreign Countries will need to bring the following identification documents on the test day:

    a) Original as well as attested photocopy of CMAT 2014-15 (September 2013 Test) Admit Card with recent passport size photo pasted on both.

    b) Passport as Photo Identification Proof: Original and valid Passport for photo identification. The name on the Passport must match with the candidates’ name as entered in the CMAT application form. Candidates failing to present a valid original Passport will not be allowed to take the test.

    Candidates are advised not to carry any other items to the test centre, as they will not be permitted into the testing centre.
