DTE Kerala Announces PG Engineering Admissions

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala has invited applications for admission to its Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme, for the academic session commencing in 2014.

DTE Kerala Announces PG Engineering Admissions:
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala has invited applications for admission to its Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme, for the academic session commencing in 2014. For the PG courses in the self financing engineering colleges in the state, a rank list will be published and admissions will be done to 50% seats by institutions themselves from the rank list, by inviting separate applications.

Eligibility Conditions:

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidates must have completed his graduation from an institution approved by the AICTE/deemed universities.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the engineering degree examination.  Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category should have secured minimum passing marks. For Socially and Educational Backward Classes (SEBC) students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the engineering degree examination is mandatory.
  • Candidates shall be selected for admission on the basis of a valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.


How to apply:
Interested and eligible candidates are required apply for the programme online through the following websites: www.cet.ac.in or ww.dtekerala.gov.in. The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 100 in case of SC/ ST candidates) in any branch of State Bank of Travancore with challan generated on submission of the application. They have to take a printout of the filled up application and send it along with copies of the relevant documents, to: the Principal, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram-695016

Last date for submitting application form: June 15, 2013.
The rank list announcement: June 25, 2013.

The Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala was established on 4th september 1957. The Department is functioning under the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Kerala. State Board of Technical Education with the Minister for Education as the Chairman & the Director of Technical Education as the convener. Now there are 12 Engineering Colleges, 49 Polytechnic Colleges, 3 Colleges of Fine Arts, 39 Technical High Schools, 17 Govt. Commercial Institutes, 42 Tailoring and Garment Making Training Centres and 4 Vocational Training Centres under the Department.
