Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET)
Conducted By: Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher education (APSCHE).
Purpose: To select candidates for admission to a number of professional courses like engineering, medical, pharmacy, biotechnology and veterinary in private and government colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 Pass or appeared for the final year of Intermediate examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a school in Andhra Pradesh. Students from other states are not eligible.
Date of Examination: 8 May 2011
Deadline for Application Submission: 16 March 2011
Selection Process: Each candidate is supposed to take an entrance test
No. of Questions: 160 (on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.)
Type of Questions: MCQs (4 choices). There are different sections. Each carries 40 marks. Physics and Chemistry sections vary from one category to another, but the syllabus remains the same.
Qualifying Percentage: 25% or 40 out of 160.
