Eligibility Criteria for ESSO- NCAOR Project Scientist and Other Jobs:

Educational Qualification:

• Project Scientist B (Crysophere and Climate- Integrated study of benchmark glaciers in Chandra Basin, Lahaul Spity Himalayas)- Masters degree in Geophysics/Physics or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.  Physical fitness for field work on high altitudes Himalayan glaciers
• Project Scientist B- Masters Degree in Geoinformatics/Geospatial Studies /Earth Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level. Physical fitness for fieldwork on high altitudes Himalayan glaciers
• Project Scientist B (Scientific drilling in the Indian Ocean through IODP)- Masters Degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics / Geology /Applied Geology/marine Geology/ Marine Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
• Project Scientist B (Past Climate and Oceanic variability)- Masters Degree in Earth Sciences/Geology/Marine Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
• Project Scientist B- Masters Degree in Marine Chemistry/Earth Sciences/Geology/Marine Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
• Project Scientist B (ESSO-NCAOR Outreach Activities)- Masters Degree in any branch of Science from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
• Project Scientist B (Study of Seafloor Hydrothermal Systems In Mid Oceanic Ridges)- Masters Degree in Geology/Applied Geology or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
• Project Scientist C- Masters Degree in Marine Science or Marine Biology or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level. Three years experience in research and development in the field of Marine Microbial Ecology and Biogeochemistry supported by scientific publications.
• Project Scientific Assistant Grade A - Three years Diploma in engineering (Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering /Technology) after 10+2 (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. (ii) Basic knowledge of Computer.
• Project Scientist B (Geoscientific Studies of the Exclusive Economic Zone)- Masters Degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
• Project Scientist B- Masters Degree in Geology/Applied Geology /Marine Geology or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
• Project Scientist B (Satellite-based Digital Elevation Model for monitoring Antarctic Ice topography, with special focus on Glaciers)- Masters Degree in Geoinformatics with GIS & Remote Sensing subject or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
• Project Scientist B (Long term monitoring of kongsfjorden for climate change studies)- Masters Degree in Physical Oceanography/Physics/Marine Science or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
• Junior Research Fellow(Environmental Monitoring and health of Indian Antarctic stations in Pursuit of Antarctica-Treaty System and its Governance)- Masters Degree in Environmental / Biological / Chemistry/Marine Science from a recognized university with 60% marks and NET /GATE qualified

Age Limit:

• Project Scientist B-35 Years
• Project Scientist C-40 years
• Project Scientific Assistant Grade A-28 years
• Junior Research Fellow-28 years
