GATE 2024 Scorecard: The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru will release the GATE 2024 score card on March 23, 2024, on the official website of GATE 2024- gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Qualified candidates can access the scorecard from the official portal GOAPS. The candidates will have to log in through their ID and password to download the GATE scorecard. As hard copies of the scorecard will not be issued so, it is recommended that the candidates save the electronic version of the scorecard for future use.

The GATE 2024 exam was conducted by the IISc, Bangalore on February 03, 04, 10 and 11, 2024, at designated test centres spread across 8 exam zones. More than 8 Lakh aspirants will appear in the exam for 30 papers. Today the exam authority released the candidate's response sheet on the official website of GATE 2024. The candidates need to  login to the GOAPS to access the GATE 2024 response sheet.

What is the importance of the GATE Scorecard?

The GATE score reflects the relative performance level of the candidate in a test paper. Qualifying in GATE is useful for seeking admission and financial assistance to Master’s programs and Doctoral programs in universities/institutions supported by MoE and other government agencies. Apart from that, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process. However, the GATE qualification does not assure a job in the PSUs/Cabinet Secretariat, as it depends on the recruitment procedure of the concerned authority.

The GATE scorecard 2024 will be issued to the candidates who qualify the GATE 2024 exam. Apart from the personal information of the candidate, the GATE scorecard contains three important components GATE score, marks, and all India rank. The GATE scorecard generally has the following information:

  • Name of Candidate
  • Parent's/Guardian's Name
  • Registration Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Examination Paper
  • Gate Score
  • All India Rank
  • Number of Candidates Appeared in the paper
  • Marks Out of 100

Validity of GATE 2024 Score Card

The GATE 2024 scorecard will remain valid for THREE years from the date of the announcement of results. If any candidate wants to improve his/her GATE scores can take the examinations again next year. In case of multiple valid scorecards, any of them can be utilized for admission/recruitment purposes.

GATE 2024 Marking Scheme

The GATE 2024 exam mainly contains three sections, General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics and core subject (two sections General Aptitude and core subject for AR, CY, DA, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, XH and XL Papers). There will be 65 questions from these three sections for a total of 100 marks. GATE exam consists of Multiple choice questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) type of questions. The exam duration is 180 minutes.   • For every correct answer, 1 or 2 marks will be awarded.
  • For every incorrect answer, 1/3 mark of that question will be deducted (only for MCQs).
  • No negative marks for MSQ and NAT questions.
