How are the CAT Exam sections timed?

CAT 2013 is to be conducted by IIM Indore from 16 October to 11 November 2013. Get your questions answered here.

In the 140 minutes CAT 2013 examination, candidates will get 70 minutes to answer 30 questions in each section. There will be on‐screen countdown timer available on each system for the convenience of the candidates. At the start of the paper, the timer will start counting from one and stop after a70 minutes. Once the time ends for the first section, candidates will have to move to the second section and they will be unable to go back.

As soon as the candidate starts working on the second section, the timer will again start from one and stop after 70 minutes, indicating time end for the second section as well as for the test.
