Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has reduced the number of Posts for the Block Development Officer (BDO) from 08 to 04 Posts. HPPSC cited administrative reasons for the withdrawal of 04 Posts of BDO. Now, candidates will compete for only 04 BDO posts apart from the number of other posts offered through the HPPSC Combined completive examination 2015.
Earlier, HPPSC invited applications for HP Combined Completive Examination -2015, vide the advertisement No .01/2016 dated 13 January 2016, to fill in the 25 Vacancies in HP Administrative Services, Police Services, Tehsildar Class I, and Excise and Taxation Officer Posts, Including 08 Posts for the BDO, which now have been reduced to 04 Posts after the withdrawal of 04 Posts.
HPPSC examination will be conducted in three stages i.e Preliminary, Mains (Written Examination) and Viva Voice. The first phase of the examination; HPPSC HPAS (Prlm.) Exam 2015 is scheduled to be conducted on 05 June 2016 at various centers across the Himachal Pradesh in 02 sessions of 02 hours each from 10 to 12 Noon and 02 to 04 PM.
The HPPSC HPAS preliminary examination consists of two papers, Paper-I (General Studies) Code No – I and paper- II ((Aptitude Test) Code No - 2. Each Paper consists of 200 marks with 100 objective type questions. The duration of examination is 02 hours for each paper.
