The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) had released the Civil Services IAS Notification 2019 on 18 Feb 2019. This notification is the first notification of UPSC after the Government provided the 10% quota to the Economically Backward Classes.
The last date to fill the UPSC Civil Services IAS online application form is 19 March 2019.In the Civil Services Notification, the UPSC no where mentioned any date to produce or possess the EWS certificate in the prescribed format.
Most of the general category candidates now fall in the EWS category due to the conditions given for the EWS Category Inclusion.
UPSC has issued a notification saying that the candidates should be ready with the EWS certificate by 1 August 2019. This is issued in the light that the candidates needs to submit the EWS certificate along with other documents with the Detail Aapplicaton Form (DAF) for the IAS Main Exam 2019.
The EWS Certificate should be in the prescribe format as given by the Government of India and should be dully attached with the IAS Main 2019 DAF so that the candidates can claim the EWS category reservation in the IAS Exam 2019.
