    IBPS conducted the preliminary examination for RRB Assistant exam 2017 on 16th and 17th September successfully. The exam was conducted for 80 marks comprised of 80 questions with a time of 45 minutes.

    Pattern of Examination: The examination has 2 sections – Reasoning and Quantitative aptitude.  Candidates shall be required to qualify in each section as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of performance in each section and also on the total weighted score. Negative marking is applicable for the Objective Test. For every wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

    Expected Cutoff marks: As per our analysis and difficulty level of the examination, the following Cutoff marks are expected for different a category. It should be noted that IBPS release state-wise cut-off marks for the examination.

    Note: The candidates should note that the above cutoffs may vary as it depends upon various factors hence; it is not possible to predict the exact cutoff marks until IBPS declared it on its website. The IBPS will announce cut off marks when the process of selection is over.
