IGIB Notified Recruitment 2013 for Project Scientist and Project Asst Posts

CSIR- Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB) has notified Recruitment 2013 to fill up 08 vacancies for the Post of Project Scientist and Project Assistants from fields of Biology, Bioinformatics and Information Technology on a temporary basis. Eligible yet interested candidates can send their applications on or before 19 July 2013.

1. Project Scientist (Biology): 01 Post
2. Project Assistant (Bioinformatics): 04 Posts
3. Project Assistant (Information Technology): 01 Post
4. Project Assistant (Information Technology): 02 Posts

Age Limit
Candidates’ upper age limit is 35 years for Post No.1; for Post No. 2 -- Project Asst Post (Bioinformatic), age should not exceed 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF; and for the Posts No. 3 & 4, upper age limit is 32 years.

Educational Qualification
For Post No.1, candidates should have Ph.D. degree in any areas of Biological Science, Life Science with outstanding academic records and publication(s) in high impact journals with proven ability for high quality R&D work.

For Post No. 2 -- Project Assistant (Bioinformatics), candidates must have first class M.Sc. in Bioinformatics with knowledge of Perl, R, and other programming languages for the level JRF and first class M.Sc/ M.Tech in Bioinformatics for SRF post.

For Post No. 3 & 4, the educational qualification is M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering/ Electronics with knowledge of C, C++/ Computer Science/ Information Technology.

Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ academic achievements as well as their performance in interview.
