A full-fledged management programme, that too in Tourism, will be in offer by the state run Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) with the help of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU). Both the educational institutions have come to an understanding by signing an MoU that would function under the aegis of Union Ministry of Tourism and IGNTU at Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh.
The signed documents were exchanged by IITTM Director, Sandeep Kulshrestha and IGNTU Vice Chancellor, T V Kattimani. Union Minister of State for Tourism Mr. Mahesh Sharma was also present when the signing and exchange of the understanding papers took place.
In place of the earlier PGDM programme that IITTM offered, it will now initiate MBA in Tourism in collaboration with the National Tribal University. The former university has a pan-India presence and would be an added boost to the state run IITTM and its students. On this occasion, Tourism Secretary Lalit Panwar and some of the other senior officials and members were also present.
