Indian Institute of Management- Calcutta (IIM-Calcutta) is all set to conduct its 7th annual International Entrepreneurship Summit (IES 7) on 22 February 2014. The event will be organized by the entrepreneurship cell of IIM-C in partnership with "C.Start", which is the mini-incubator initiative at E-Cell, IIM Calcutta under the aegis of CEI.
This year’s theme for the summit is "2014: The year of the entrepreneur".
The eminent entrepreneurs of the globe are to come and participate in the event, besides, institute's Faculty and students.
In past few years, entrepreneurship has become popular and gained much importance. Lately, many students from various B-schools denied from participating in campus placement, as many of them now prefer to establish their own entrepreneurial ventures. This move of starting up own business might have bud due to the slow growing economy.
The summit will also include various workshops and quizzes with having participants from the world. Furthermore, International speakers from five different time zones are also likely to attend this Summit through video track.
IIM Calcutta established in 1961 is one of the premium institutes of India, which promotes effective management skills through its Post graduate, Doctoral level programs, Executive training programs as well as Research and Consulting activities.
