IIM Kozhikode, has finally announced the CAT 2017 cut offs along with the weightages to other parameters for admission to PGP 2018-20 batch. It should be noted that CAT 2017 score will carry a weight of 75%, the final admission round will award a weight of only 35% to CAT 2017 percentile score and the admission offer will be more dependent upon GD/PI/WAT round which carries the 60% weight.

Selection Process at IIM-K: A to Z of Admission
After appearing for the CAT Exam, and qualifying the basic minimum cut-off, each candidate will be awarded Aggregate Index Score. This score will be calculated on the basis of various parameters that have been allotted the following weightage.
As the other IIMs have released the CAT cut-offs for admission, IIM Kozhikode has also specified various criteria basis which the candidates can seek admission to the premier management institute.
Performance in Academics
Academic performance in the school and college level will get due weightage in getting the candidates shortlisted in the management school.
Class Xth and XIIth
As per the admission policy of IIM Kozhikode, minimum 60% marks are required to be eligible for shortlisting. For the purpose of selection, percentage of marks obtained in Class X and class XII would be the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the marks sheet.
A percentage of 81 or more in class XII Marks will fetch the weightage of 7.5%.
Graduation
The academic excellence of candidate in graduation will be awarded maximum weightage of 7.5% on score percentage of 81+. Here also a minimum of 60% marks is a prerequisite to get shortlisted. No weightage will be awarded for a score of less than this.
Reward to Work Experience as well
Those candidates who possess relevant work experience, a maximum weightage of 5% on a scale of 100 in the shortlisting criteria. Candidates possessing work experience between 22 to 24 months will be awarded the maximum weightage. Candidates will less than 6 months of work ex will not be considered eligible for getting any score in this area.
Gender diversity Matters
For gender diversity factor, 5% weightage on a scale of 100 will be awarded in the shortlisting for GD-PI-WAT round.

As mentioned above, as per the selection round of IIM Kozhikode, a shortlist of candidates in each category will be created based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS) scored by them. The AIS is computed on the basis of the parameters mentioned above:

GD-PI/WAT Round for Final Shortlisting
IIM Kozhikode will conduct the GD/WAT and PI round in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai and New Delhi. The candidates will get the topics at the venue just before the GD/WAT.
In the PI round, candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their academic background, quality of work experience and other personal traits of each candidate.

In the final round of selection, four parameters are taken into consideration for selection. Performance in the Personal Interview will be considered the most important milestone to seek admission in the B-School.
