IIM MBA Fee

There has been a rise in IIM Ahmedabad fee structure as compared to its last year fee. The fee structure of the upgraded Post Graduate Programme is now INR 19.50 Lacs, which were INR 18.50 lacs last year.

An official statement released by IIM A has justified this hike in fee structure by saying that this rise in fee have tended to lag inflation rate over the past few years. Considering the base year 2009, the current increase in fee structure is still 10% lower than the inflation-adjusted terms as compared to the 2009-2011 fee.

It’s all due to rise in inflation, the institute costs have been rising at a steep rate. IIM A said in the support of fee rise, “Although we continue to drive for efficiency, part of the cost increase is reflected in fee increase."

IIM Fee Structure and Seats availability:

It is interesting to note that the IIM MBA programs differ in terms of course design as compared to each IIM. However, the guidelines for IIM admission selection procedure and selection criteria are same for all.

The major and most popular programme in every IIM institute is its Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Management of two years, which is equivalent to the MBA Degree programme offered by other B-schools. Other than their major PGDM programmes, IIMs offer the following course as well:

• Post Graduate Diploma Programme for 1 year
• Short Term Executive Courses for professionals
• Fellow Programme in Management for research
• Distance MBA Courses for Working Executives
• Part Time Executive Courses

Graduation in any discipline with at-least 50% marks is the minimum qualification requirement for most of the programmes along-with valid CAT scores. Valid GMAT score is the admission criteria for foreign students. The admission authority of IIM also takes the interview scores along-with academic records, group discussions and professional achievements into consideration while selecting candidates.

IIM Selection Procedure 2018 - 20

The IIMs will soon release the cutoff 2017, based on which candidates will get admission in a respective IIM College.

The IIM merit list 2017 will be released on the basis of following parameters:

• CAT 2017
• Graduation Marks
• Class 12 Marks
• Work Experience (Not necessary but is an added advantage)
• Academic records
