Indian Navy invited applications from married/ unmarried male candidates, unmarried female candidates and from wards of battle Casualties of Army Personnel for grant of Short Service Commission under NCC Special Entry Scheme 37th Course – Apr 2015. Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned authority by post so as to reach the concerned office on or before the prescribed last dates.

Last date for receipt of applications at NCC BN/ GP HQ: 31 July 2014

Last date for receipt of application at DG NCC: 5 August 2014

Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Dte from Dte Gen NCC: 29 August 2014.

Vacancy Details

1. NCC Men: 53 posts

2. NCC Women: 4 posts
Age Limit

For NCC candidates (including Wards of Battle Casualties) -- 19 years to 25 years

(born not earlier than 2 January 1990 and not later than 1 January 1996).

Educational Qualification:

(a) For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders: Degree or equivalent

Those in the final year are allowed to apply but must possess graduation degree at the time of joining training at OTA.

Service in NCC: Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division/ Wing of NCC.

Grading: Should have obtained minimum ‘B' Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

(b) For Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel: Degree or equivalent (NCC ‘C’ certificate not required)

Stipend: Rs.21000 per month (Rs.15600 in Pay Band + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400).

Pay Scale: On completion of training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.

(Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary ground from NDA, IMA, OTA or any other Service Training Academy are NOT eligible to apply.)

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the 2 stage selection process including SSB Interview.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Selection Process.

Those qualifying the stage I will be allowed to participate in Stage II – Group Tests, Psychological tests and Interview.

Candidates recommended by the SSB will have to undergo Medical Exam. Candidates who are found medically fit will be placed in order of merit amongst the recommended candidates. The merit list of the recommended candidates will be displayed at the reception of DG Recruiting and Dte Gen Recruiting website i.e. www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

The final selection will be made as per the order of merit subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects and number of vacancies available.

All applications are to be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC Entry) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/ GP HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to HQ DG NCC.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, by ordinary post to the concerned office so as to reach the concerned authority on or before the prescribed last date.

Candidates applying under Wards of Battle Casualties category should send their applications directly to ‘Dte. Gen of Recruiting / Rtg.-A, NCC Entry, AG’s Branch, IHQ of MoD (Army) West Block- III, R K Puram, New Delhi – 110066’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 8 August 2014.

Applications should be sent to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC’ ‘C’ certificate has been issued. All NCC Units will forward the applications to DDG, NCC of the concerned State.
