Indian Railways to Start Yearly Recruitment Process for Technical, Non Technical and Group D Vacancies

Indian Railways has started the process of hiring 5,696 assistant loco pilots (ALPs) after successfully completing the hiring of 1.5 lakh employees. As per Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, there will be a yearly selection process for technical, non technical and group D vacancies.

Indian Railways has started accepting applications for 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) vacancies just after completing the 1.5 lakh new employee recruitment process, as per Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. While giving an interview to ANI, the minister added that there will be more opportunities coming in the technical and non technical popular categories, as well as group D posts. He also said that the railways will soon start the yearly recruitment process so that more candidates get the opportunity.

The Minister emphasised that the recruitment of ALPs is the initial step and that there will be more opportunities in the technical, non technical and group D posts.

The recruitment process was previously conducted by the railway once every three or four years. The railway will now conduct the hiring process and access positions annually.  The first notification of 5,696 ALPs has already been released

RRB ALP Recruitment 2024

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started accepting applications for ALP from January 20 and the eligible candidates fill out the online form until February 19. The following are the application fees: OBC and unreserved categories need to pay Rs 500, while reserved categories need to pay Rs 250.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Selection Process and Required Documents

There are five steps in the RRB ALP selection process: computer based tests (CBT 1 and 2), and computer based aptitude tests (CBAT), document verification (DV), and medical examinations (ME). Check the list of documents below required at the time of application

  • Valid Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
  • Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or any other photo ID Card issued by the state or central government)
  • Board Examination Roll Number (Class X)
  • Matriculation Certificate
  • Other Relevant Documents

To apply for RRB ALP recruitment in 2024, candidates can follow the step by step process listed below.

Step 1: Visit the official website - recruitmentrrb.in

Step 2: Click on the apply button of ALP

Step 3: Register yourself with a valid email ID, mobile number, and password in the online system. 

Step 4: Enter all the required details in the RRB ALP online form.

Step 5: Upload the photograph and signature in the specified format.

Step 6: Preview the information in the online form and pay the application fees.

Step 6: Print the RRB ALP online application form 2024 for future use.
