Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary Certificate from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Computer Knowledge: Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi only on computer.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates possessing higher qualifications and having knowledge of basic operation of computer.
Age Limit: Between 18 years and 25 years. Cut-off date for determining the age will be 14 July 2011
Physical Standard
Height
a) Minimum standards for candidates belonging to ST including Adivasis candidates of all States/UT: 162.5 cms (male), 154 cms (female)
b) Minimum standards for all except the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes & Adivasis: 165 cms (male), 155 cms (female)
Chest (Only male candidates)
a) Minimum standards for candidates belonging to ST including Adivasis candidates of all States/UT: 76 cms (unexpanded), 81 cms (expanded)
b) Minimum standards for all except the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes & Adivasis: 77 cms (unexpanded), 82 cms (expanded)
Weight: Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards.
Medical Standard
a) The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes with correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
b) The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen candidate and fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 50 (Non-refundable) in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/ IPO/ Bank Draft in favour of “Inspector General (Special) Frontier ITBP, Payable at – SBI- RK Puram, New Delhi, Code No- 1076.”
Selection Procedure
The candidate’s overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The assessment will be made in
1. Checking of documents
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Written Test (100 marks, 3 hours duration)
a) General Arithmetic (Objective type/ Bilingual) – 30 Marks
b) General Knowledge (Objective type/ Bilingual) – 25 Marks
c) General English (Objective type) – 35 Marks
d) Essay Writing (In English or Hindi language) – 10 marks
4. Skill Test
5. Interview (20 marks)
6. Detailed Medical Examination
