Intelligence Bureau Recruitment for Various Posts 2011

On- line applications are invited for the following posts in Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India to be filled through direct recruitment from amongst the candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions.

• Personal Assistant: 58 vacancies
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Wireless Telegraphy): 198 vacancies
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Electronics Data Processing): 6 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Personal Assistant: Matriculation from a recognized Board with proficiency in Stenography (100 words per minute); Desirable- Knowledge of computer operation.
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Wireless Telegraphy): Matriculation in Physics and Mathematics with two years Industrial Training Institute pass certificate in any of the following trades:
  a) Electronic Mechanic
  b) Information Technology and Electronic System maintenance
  c) Electrician
  d) Mechanic Computer Hardware
  e) Mechanic (Radio & TV)
  f) Mechanic cum operator of Electronic Communication system.
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Electronics Data Processing): 12th Standard pass or equivalent; Training in computer operations for, at least, three months from recognised Institutions and possess a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry work. Note: Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry work would be judged by conducting a speed test on EDP Machines by the Competent Authority.

Age Limit (for all posts): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 27 years

Pay scale

• Personal Assistant: Rs 9300-34800; Rs 4600 (GP) + allowance as per Central Govt. rates
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Wireless Telegraphy): Rs 5200-20200 + Rs 2400 (GP) + allowance as per Central Govt. rates
• Junior Intelligence Officer (Electronics Data Processing): Rs 5200-20200 + Rs 2400 (GP) + allowance as per Central Govt. rates

Selection procedure

• Personal Assistant: The exam will consist of written test (2 papers of 100 marks each) and skill test followed by an interview.
• Junior Intelligence Officer (both posts): The exam will consist of written test (Objective type multiple choice test of 100 marks) and interview.

How to Apply: Candidates willing to apply should submit their application through On-Line method clearly indicating the name of the post(s) applied for and the centre of examination. Candidates can apply for any or more of the three posts provided he/ she fulfils the prescribed eligibility conditions. The candidates are required to take and retain the print out of this Registration Slip for all future reference and need not send the same to this office. Further, only first registration would be accepted and all subsequent registrations would be rejected.
