Investment Wing of PSU Banks Visited IIM Lucknow for Placement

IIM-Lucknow has shown an encouraging placement trend this year, given the present economic scenario prevailing in the country. The ongoing campus placements at IIM-Lucknow have seen 3 students who have been hired by investment wing of the public sector banks - State Bank of India Capital and IDBI Capital.

In previous years, only SBI Capital from the PSU banking investment sector was the recruiter.

With IDBI being a new recruiter to this campus this year, other significant number of new entrants including international companies have also shown interest in IIM-L and have come in for recruitments, as told by IIM-L officials.

Notably, many non-profit organisations (NGOs) also arrived and participated in the IIMs placement process this year. However, it is a notion that NGOs don't pay well but had this been a case, why would they even come at IIMs for hiring, questioned an IIM official.

In the previous year, IIM's placement season witnessed participation from 159 domestic and international companies. International firms from Middle East and Africa from diverse sectors such as retail, real estate, brand consulting and advertising were also present for recruiting in IIMs last year.
